Stakin Launched The Stakin(g) Podcast!
It gives us great pleasure to announce the release of our first podcast episode. We sat down with Comdex CEO Abhishek Singh for the first episode to talk about blockchain, staking, $CMDX, DeFi, synthetic assets, and more. Stakin Launched As Validator On Gravity Bridge
We’re glad to say that we are now part of the Gravity Bridge active validator set. Gravity Bridge is an open and decentralized bridge that unlocks interoperability and liquidity between blockchain ecosystems. More info on the network and staking will be released shortly.
Stakin To Be Part Of Lido Finance Ethereum Node Operators
On the 12th of December 2021, a vote for the addition of 8 new Ethereum node operators to the Lido node operator set went live. Between November and December 2021, the Lido Node Operator Subgovernance Group (LNOSG) received and evaluated 23 valid Ethereum applications for inclusion into the Lido node operator set. The goal of this process was to improve the decentralization and resilience of Lido, and to bring in new organizations with strong skill sets and alignment with the values of the networks we support. And Stakin is glad to announce that we will be part of the eight additional node operators for Lido Finance.
ICON Announces Entry in Polkadot Ecosystem
ICE, an entirely new EVM-compatible blockchain meant to serve as the decentralized application hub for the ICON ecosystem, was introduced earlier this year. ICE is based on the Substrate open-source blockchain development platform, which is used by Polkadot, Kusama, Chainlink, Moonbeam, and other well-known projects.
ICE will be able to integrate straight into the Polkadot ecosystem as an EVM-compatible and BTP-optimized application chain as a Substrate-based chain, which is exactly what we aim to achieve. You can find the full ICON announcement here.
Junø Moneta Upgrade Completed
On the 15th of December, the Junø Moneta upgrade launched successfully. From there on out, the smart-contract hub for the Cosmos IBC ecosystem was ready to go. On the 21st of December, the Moneta hacks got started, the first stage will last 180 days. There is a 275.000 $JUNO reward pool, for the first round of best #app entries. Cosmos Vega Upgrade
The Cosmos Vega Upgrade was successfully executed. The upgrade started at block height 8695000 and was successfully completed by the validators. The upgrade contains versioning upgrades for the Cosmos Hub's fundamental components, such as Cosmos SDK, Tendermint Core, and IBC, to assure their security. Through features such as pricing and voting delegation, the improvements will also help to eliminate consensus errors and increase efficiency. The Vega upgrade is required to improve the Cosmos Hub's performance and ensure that future upgrades go smoothly.
