Nibiru is a sovereign proof-of-stake blockchain, an open-source platform, and a member of the Cosmos Ecosystem.
The project combines leveraged derivatives trading, spot trading, staking, and bonded liquidity provision into a unified user experience, allowing users of more than 40 blockchains to trade with leverage through a suite of modular decentralized applications.
Nibiru Chain features several interconnected components:
Nibi-Perps, a perpetual futures decentralized exchange (DEX). This on-chain platform allows for up to 10x leverage trading on a variety of digital assets, both within and beyond the Cosmos ecosystem.
Nibi-Swap, an Automated Market Maker (AMM) protocol for spot trading. Nibi-Swap users can access swaps for multichain assets, access liquidity pools, and utilize bonded liquidity gauges.
The Nibiru Oracle Module, which links real-world data securely to the blockchain. It provides a reliable and fast oracle solution without compromising security, playing a vital role in:
- Indexing prices on the Nibi-Perps DEX.
- Ensuring accurate pricing for NUSD minting and redemption.
- Aligning incentives among validators and oracle nodes bolsters the network’s security.
Stakin’s Role and Contribution
Stakin’s active participation in the Nibiru project includes technical support and key governance decisions, contributing to most early proposals and helping steer the network's strategic direction.
Communication has been a two-way street; we've made it a priority to promptly address all inquiries and discussions initiated by the Nibiru team. The open communication has also allowed us to provide specific feedback from our experience, directly influencing improvements and smoothing the pathway to the mainnet launch.
